A chance to find out more about the Army Cadet Force will be provided at an open evening to be held next week.
It will be held at Chapel Youth Centre at 7pm on March 1 when visitors will be able to find out about the variety of activities, some with a military theme others community focused, that Cadets take part in on a weekly basis.
The Cadets welcome boys and girls from the age of 12 (and in at least year eight at school), of all abilities and backgrounds, and through a broad range of challenging, educational and adventurous activities, aim to help them develop physically, mentally and socially.
There are Army Cadet detachments at Buxton, Chapel-en-le-Frith, New Mills, Tideswell and Bakewell.
