Appeal for help after attempted theft

Police are trying to trace four men in connection with an attempted theft from gaming machines in a Buxton pub.

At around 4.15pm on Wednesday, August 28, four men entered the Queen’s Head pub, in High Street. Three men stood around the machine while the fourth attempted to force it open. Nothing was stolen but damage was caused to the machine.

The men were all white. One was around 5ft 9ins, with short dark hair and wearing a dark coloured jacket, blue jeans and dark trainers.

Another of the men was slightly shorter and had shaved hair. He wore a blue jumper with brown pads on the shoulders and elbows, dark trousers and trainers. The third man was in his late 20s to early 30s and was wearing a dark body warmer with a light long–sleeve t–shirt underneath and light blue jeans.

The fourth man is thought to be in his 50s wearing a dark jacket, blue t–shirt and dark trousers.
