A Buxton mum pounded the streets of the North East at the weekend to raise money for the Catholic aid agency CAFOD.

Angela Oldfield, 41, took part in Sunday’s Great North Run, tackling the gruelling 13.1 mile route from Newcastle to South Shields in appalling weather conditions as part of CAFOD’s 35 strong team. They were among 56,000 runners taking part in the 33rd Great North Run.
