A coffee morning held at Hartington Gardens has raised £1,157 for the Chernobyl Children’s Project.

The charity is very grateful to all those who supported the event.

The funds will go towards the air fares for a group of diabetic children set to visit the High Peak this summer.

Three host families are still required with the most urgent need now to find a family to host the two ladies, the interpreter and the doctor from August 11 to August 25.

Families interested in getting involved or who would like more information should contact Denis Moors on 01298 25727.
