Adrenaline–seekers in the High Peak are being invited to take part in a charity abseil to raise money for charity.
The British Red Cross is hosting a charity abseil off the Miller’s Dale Viaduct, near Tideswell, on October 13.
The abseil, dubbed the Peak District Drop, will see participants descend over the edge of the viaduct, touching brick for just ten feet, before free–abseiling for the remaining 70 feet.
Alex Gadsby, community fundraiser for the Red Cross, said: “This is a truly heart-stopping challenge which will push even the most hardened height-lovers to the limit.”
Participants are asked to raise at least £150 and there is a £10 registration fee.
Places are limited and those who wish to take part should sign up at www.redcross.org.uk/peakdistrictdrop or contact Alex on 01158 528016 or email@example.com.
