An intrepid Buxton woman has set her a sights high with a trek up Mount Kilimanjaro next month.
Natalie Voigt, 22, set herself the challenge and decided she could also use the experience to help raise funds for charity.
As she has funded the trip herself every penny raised through sponsorship will go to the Make a Wish Foundation which grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses.
“I set my target at £500 but I never really thought I would get close to it,” said Natalie, “But I am now up to £800 and it is looking now as if it is going to be closer to £1,000.”
Natalie, who graduated in May with a 2:1 in Psychology and is currently considering which career path to take, has been overwhelmed by the support she has received from family, friends, workers at Federal Mogul and staff and customers of New Bodies Gym.
Over the past few months Natalie has spend atlot of time at the gym training for the trek which reaches 19,340 ft above sea level.
Anyone who would like to sponsor Natalie and support her fundraising efforts can do so at the j website www.justgiving.com/natalievoigt or via sponsor forms available at New Bodies Gym, Selecta Tyre and Alternate Hair and Beauty.
