A PROJECT to develop a walking route around Buxton has been given a boost thanks to a donation from Waitrose.
Buxton Civic Association (BCA) were given £244 from the Waitrose Community Matters Scheme.

The money will be used for their Ring of Trees project, a ten mile walk through the woodlands surrounding Buxton.

Martin Wragg, BCA's Secretary, said: "Work is well advanced and Alan Walker, our general manager is delighted that this sum will cover the cost of the way-marking discs to be mounted on guide posts throughout the entire route – a really useful aid to the whole project."
