PLANS TO build a new Scouts headquarters in Buxton have been given a boost after receiving a donation.
The £500 came from Derbyshire County Councillor Robin Baldry's community leadership fund and has helped boost the building fund of the 3rd Buxton (Harpur Hill) Scouts who are hoping to build a new headquarters in Harpur Hill.

The group, which now has 80 youngsters taking part in weekly activities, is looking to recycle a pre-fabricated building donated by the University of Derby and re-site it in Harpur.

The group has thriving Beaver, Cub and Scout sections, catering for children aged six to 14.

More information is available from Mark Rushworth, Group Scout Leader on 01298 72083 or via email on 3rdBuxtonGSL@peakland.co.uk.
