THREE BUXTON Rotarians will be pounding the streets of Manchester later this month for charity.
John Cassidy and Bruce Thomson are running the BUPA Manchester 10k to raise money for The New Children's Hospital Appeal while club president Dr Ian Saunders is running for Christies.

The New Children's Hospital Appeal, spearheaded by Bob the Builder, aims to raise £20 million to provide state of the art equipment for diagnosis and treatment, and a place for parents to stay when their child is in hospital. The new hospital is due to open in Manchester in 2009.

Manchester's Christie Hospital is one of the leading cancer centres in Europe.

Sponsorship forms are available from the Buxton Advertiser office, Barclays Bank, Buxton Medical Practice and Hargreaves. You can also sponsor them online at Buxton Rotary Club's website www.buxtonrotaryishere.co.uk.

To find out more about the Rotary Club of Buxton, contact Secretary Tony Oates on 01298 24659 or visit the club website.
