POLICE are appealing for witnesses to help them trace a bus which clipped one of their officers on the arm with its wing mirror in Buxton.
The police community support officer suffered bruising, but carried on with his duties after the incident on August 28 at about 4.30pm.

"He was hit on the arm by the wing mirror of the passing bus," said a police spokeswoman. "We believe the driver was unaware of this."

The white bus, which had no markings on it, was travelling along St Johns Road towards Buxton town centre. The PCSO was near the junction with Burlington Road.

Anyone who saw the incident or has details of the bus should contact Pc 2789 Anna Gaskell on 0845 123 33 33.
