EX-SERVICEMEN and women met at Buxton's Royal British Legion to celebrate Armed Forces Day.
Last Wednesday, 40 former members of the armed services met at the Hardwick Square South club to commemorate the event.

The Rev John Hudghton and mayor Tony Bingham met the veterans who told stories about past conflicts.

Brian Mycock, chairman of Buxton's Royal British Legion, thanked everyone for attending.

He added: "Next year I'd like to see more young people and women attend."

Mr Mycock thanked Phyliss Hall for playing the piano.
