Peak art show starts

PAINTINGS by the Buxton and High Peak Art Society will go on show at Buxton Museum and Art Gallery from 2pm Saturday, September 6, until November 15.
This talented group of artists will display a wide variety of subjects in various media and their annual exhibition where most paintings will be offered for sale.
The long-established group of local artists meets every other Monday afternoon at Dove Holes Community Centre.
There are also demonstrations by visiting professional artists where much can be learned from their techniques.
Visitors to these demonstrations are always welcome as are new members wishing to develop their skills.
