THE ANNUAL High Peak and Derbyshire Dales Liberation Day will take place at the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton tomorrow (Friday).
Aimed at the over-50s age group, the event provides free information, entertainment and lunch.

This year's event has an intergenerational theme, bringing young and old together.

Attendees will get the opportunity to work alongside young people to discuss issues of anti-social behaviour, crime and its effect on the community.

Project leader, Inspector Tony Dales, said: "This is quite a unique event which over the past five years has provided the 50-plus age group with an opportunity to gain advice across a wide range of issues.

"For some in the more hard to reach areas, it may be one of their only chances to get out and socialise with people from their own age group."
