BUXTON Sea Cadets held a successful inspection evening last Thursday.
During the evening, parents and guests had the opportunity to observe the skills of the cadets, who performed ceremonial duties while taking part in displays which demonstrated teamwork.

A Buxton Sea Cadets' spokeswoman said: "These were innovative, humorous and enjoyable."

Under his Community Leadership Fund, Derbyshire County Counil Chairman Councillor Robin Baldry announced a contribution of £500.

This cash will go towards the proposed extension and improvements to the cadets' unit on Silverlands.

Applications for planning permission and building control have been made.
