GROUPS who support and create youth activities can take advantage of a new £250,000 Derbyshire County Council fund.
The Youth Action Grant scheme offers grants up to £1,000 to benefit projects for young people aged between 13 and 19, or up to 24 years if they have disabilities.
Charities, community and voluntary groups, social enterprises and not-for-profit groups are eligible to bid for the money.
Cllr Barry Lewis, the authority’s Cabinet Member for Young People, said: “Changes we’ve made to our youth services have already seen us increase the number of activities available.
“Our new grant scheme will help support hundreds of new and established local groups and a wide variety of youth projects.”
Applications for grants must be submitted by the last working day of the month, with the last date for bids for this round of grants being October 31.
