AN AUCTION of Promises to raise funds for the refurbishment of the Hangout young people's drop-in will take place at the United Reformed Church on Mellor Road, New Mills on May 17.
Some fantastic promises are on offer – half a day's joinery, drawing up of a will, reflexology, a family portrait taken by a professional photographer, and lots more.

The auctioneers, Bob Auld and Anna Wright, will ensure that the evening goes with a swing! Doors open at 7pm when a glass of wine will be available, with the auction starting at 7.30pm. Programmes cost £1.

For further information, phone 01663 747599 or 01663 742210.
