Police appeal after robbery

A TEENAGER was grabbed by the throat and had his mobile phone stolen as he walked along a New Mills beauty spot.
An appeal for information has been launched following the robbery on Saturday at 5.45pm, when the 19-year-old was walking along the Sett Valley Trail at Ollersett Avenue.

Police say the victim was approached by two men in their early 20s. One grabbed him by the throat while the other stole his mobile phone.

The man who grabbed the victim is described as being about 5ft 10ins tall with short, dark hair. He wore a black tracksuit, white trainers and a blue Nike top.

The man who stole the mobile phone was about 5ft 11ins tall with very short mousy coloured hair. He wore a grey hooded top, black baggy trousers, grey trainers and a black Nike baseball cap.
