PHONE services in New Mills were hit following damage to an underground cable.
A spokesperson for British Telecom said yesterday (Wednesday) that a cable in Church Street had suffered damage.
“Engineers are on site to repair this damage and we currently have 64 reported faults caused by this,” he added.
“We are doing all we can to restore service and as long as we don’t hit any unforeseen problems we hope to have all working again tomorrow (Thursday).”
