DR JOHN Harry, Chairman, welcomed 42 members to the July meeting of the Buxton and District Probus Club.
Buxton man Bill Weston told an extraordinary story of discovering his natural father. Often poignant, often amusing, backed by good slides, Bill is a master story teller.
Bryan McGee gave the vote of thanks.
On July 18, 76 members visited the 'Tall Ships' in Liverpool.
Their next meeting will be on August 5 when the speaker will be Joan Powell on Hayfield Union Workhouse.
