BUXTON Ladies Circle have chosen two local charities to raise money for this year – Charis House and Buxton Mountain Rescue.
Charis House offers support to families who have suffered from things like depression, addiction and domestic abuse.

Buxton Mountain Rescue, a voluntary organisation, helping people lost or injured enjoying the Peak District, also have to raise £30,000 a year to continue the service.

As well as fundraising, the Ladies Circle meet for a variety of different activities – from trying their hand at fencing to having their cards read by a psychic and tackling the local pub quiz.

Their next activity is go-karting, on Thursday June 5 at Harpur Hill, and they're welcoming new members (must be aged between 21 and 45).

For more information, visit www.buxtonladiescircle.moonfruit.com or call Nicola on 01298 70823.
