Tell truth and hang the consequences

TELL the Truth…..hang the consequences!

That's the dilemma faced in an Agatha Christie classic played out by Buxton and Tideswell actors from tonight (Thursday).

Leonard Vole stands accused of the murder of Miss Emily French, his elderly benefactor, in Witness for the Prosecution by the crime-writers' doyenne.

Just days previously, Miss French changed her will in Leonard's favour and all the evidence against him is damning. However one man is willing to take on the case for the defence and embarks on a battle of wits with Leonard's enigmatic wife.

A tense, fast-paced thriller filled with twists and razor sharp dialogue, Witness for the Prosecution is considered one of Agatha Christie's greatest plays. Buxton Drama League and Tideswell Players bring you an evening of entertainment and mystery with an ending you will not forget.

Witness for the Prosecution: Buxton Opera House November 5, 6 and 7 at 7.30pm
