Festival looking for young star
Buxton Festival is seeking a local boy to take to the stage in a small speaking role in the opera Intermezzo.
The successful boy will appear in the professional opera which will be performed at Buxton Opera House on July 7, 10, 13, 19, 25 at 7.15pm and on July 22 at 4pm.
Glyn Foley, Buxton Festival Chief Executive, said: “It’s not a huge role, so won’t require a great deal of learning, but we think the experience will be fun and interesting, and give them a real insight into the world of professional opera.”
They are looking for a boy who looks approximately eight-years-old with acting ability who can attend all of the performances and some daytime rehearsals between June 28 and July 5.
