FOUR Buxton lads who aim to be the next big thing in music are eyeing up chart success.

It promises to be an exciting year for Mark Whibberley, Ged Potts, Charlie Willcox and Jon Stone – the supremely talented members of indie rock and roll band The Indieannas.

The band has just clinched a record deal and their debut single, Flying High, will be released next month.

Mark said: “It’s a very exciting time for us.

“We really want the people of Buxton to continue supporting us and help us achieve our dreams of getting into the charts.”

Ged added: “We’re really happy with the single.

“It’s all about feeling good – it’s very uplifting.”

The Indieannas, formerly called the Stand, have wowed audiences not just in Buxton but across Manchester, Sheffield and Liverpool.

Last year they followed in the footsteps of the Beatles and performed at the world-famous Cavern Club.

They went on to enjoy a string of gigs at various high-profile events including the Y Not Festival alongside the likes of Reverend and the Makers and the View.

The Indieannas are an exciting band with a bright future and Buxton has every reason to be proud of them.

• Flying High can be downloaded from all major online stores on February 11. Pre-order it here.

The band will hold a gig to celebrate the release of Flying High at Level Two in Buxton from 7pm on February 8. Tickets will cost £5 on the door.
