Now all those who have had connections with the Chapel are being invited to send in their memories so a book can be compiled for them to share and keep in their archives.

“They don’t have to have a religious background – just some connection with Chinley Chapel in the past.

“They may have a photograph of a nativity or a play or something we could reproduce,” said a spokeswoman.

“A lot of people refer to it as their Chapel.”

The book is the first in a series of celebrations being arranged to mark the Chapel’s three centuries which will include concerts, a special service and a walk– possibly in period costume.

Full details of the events will be available at www.chinleychapel.org.uk
