I would like to give thanks to everyone in the village who wrote letters of protest to our MP and Post Office Authorities and who signed our petition against the closure of Dove Holes Post Office which is situated within Dove Holes Methodist Church.
Unfortunately, we have lost the fight where the Government and the Post Office have not shown any compassion for the people of Dove Holes in keeping the service open. It will mean that the only option open is for everyone to either go to Chapel or Buxton to receive post office services, costing them time and money.

I understand that the last day of opening at the Dove Holes Post Office will be on Thursday, September 25 and I would like to invite anyone who is passing Dove Holes Methodist Church to call in for a cup of tea or coffee on this last day.
