The present Labour Government are pretty unpopular at the moment to put it mildly, but while people grapple with the high cost of motoring, astronomical increases in gas and electricity charges, rising food prices and higher mortgages, one proposed Labour policy may have escaped most people's attention but if it becomes law, around 45 per cent of the population will become the victims of one of the most blatant acts of discrimination ever seen in this country.
This Labour government under the direction of its deputy leader Harriet Harman are proposing to make it law that if a white male applies for a job for which he is qualified to do, the government would actively discourage his potential employer from o
ffering him the job so that preference could be given to candidates of a different gender or to applicants who are from an ethnic minority background.

Now this means that if this Labour government policy becomes law, white men will stand a chance of gaining employment only if they are competing on a short list with other white men, in effect a form of employment apartheid.

This country has managed to keep at bay the twin terrors of Fascism and Communism down the years, and we are justifiably proud of our freedom and our democratic society.

But while we have kept the external extremists at bay we have allowed a new menace to creep unnoticed right to the core of our institutions: it is called political correctness and its practitioners are even more dangerous than the extremists because they are now running the country.

The reality of Harman's crackpot proposal is that if I was on a shortlist for a job with two other people who we shall call Abdul and Fatima and they had been granted the right to come and live and work in this country from say Pakistan or Turkey, and we all had the same experience and qualifications, then I would automatically lose out even though I had lived in Britain and have paid my taxes here all my working life!

We are on a very slippery slope when laws which advocate the blatant discrimination of millions of its own people start to be enshrined in the statute book.

So it seems that politically correct lunatics have finally taken over the asylum, and as they say around these parts: it's never right!
