A big thank you to all Burbage volunteers!
Christ Church, Burbage would like to thank all the Volunteers who came on Saturday to help clear up the churchyard, they have made a tremendous difference!

Thirty six volunteers worked from ten in the morning till four in the afternoon. The Mayor and Mayoress Robin and Linda Baldry were with us, helping with the hard task of cutting down the four-foot high grass and wheel-barrowing it away.

They were assisted by a small group from the Community Punishment team and their supervisor.

We would also like to thank the ladies who kept spirits up throughout the day with soft drinks and produced a lovely lunch for everyone, followed by afternoon tea.

There was much laughter amidst the hard work, and we hope to repeat the experience later in the year,

Joyce Allwright
