We are concerned that the coming White Paper could have catastrophic consequences, especially for sparsely populated areas such as surround Litton, where we live.
It is said that dispensary services, together with some minor ailment services, could be transferred to a commercial pharmacy, and that the dispensary services from our local surgery could be withdrawn.

This would involve extra travel. Some patients would have to wait for buses and pay fares, others would use their cars and burn more petrol.

The quality of co-ordinated care would be damaged, compared to that which is available from GP practices with in-surgery pharmacy facilities.

We value the current arrangements, and ask you to do all you can to ensure that the case for their continuation is properly heard and acted on.
