The seven plagues of Israel
All dates approximate and all supported by scientific evidence:

1967: The coming ice-age

1970: Rogue meteorite heading our way

1971: Acid rain

1975: Hole in the ozone layer

1985: Mad cow disease transmission to humans

1990: Ditto bird flu

1998: Onset of global warming.

Actually, from alternative sources the last I heard was the world's going to end in 666 (the Great Beast) x 4 (Horsemen of the Apocalypse) = 2664 but I'm keeping an open mind. Meanwhile, carry on re-using your plastic bags.
