IF YOU isolate someone from society, and restrict them to a small space, what options are there for personal growth and expression?
You can find out by watching the world premiere of The Opposite of Waiting which examines the ways in which human beings express themselves, and the relationship we all have to the outside world.
Using a mixture of traditional songs and newly devised lyrics set to a traditional plain chant score, this piece uses physical theatre to explore why we sing and how we grow.
Set outside the traditional theatre space, it also aims to provide a much stronger physical connection between audience and performer by putting both in the same environment.
L Turner is a classically trained singer, with a strong background in dance and physical theatre.
Her last solo show, Iphigenia, was well received at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe.
Other work includes choir master/soprano for Iris Theatre's production of Murder in the Cathedral.
