AWARD-WINNING High Peak theatre company Northern Gap has announced its programme for the forthcoming season.
‘Mercy’ by Lin Coghlan and a newly-commissioned play ‘Cracked’ by Brian Marchbank will be performed during the Buxton Festival Fringe in July.

Director Helen Avouris explained: “‘Mercy’ is an epic and visionary play in which a group of mismatched characters are thrown together by decisions they face as they leave a city ravaged by unexplained flood and fear – a situation which brings out both the best and worst in them.

“‘Cracked’ is set in the seedy underworld of crime. Eddie Stubbs was a third rate criminal and a fourth rate father. His violent demise brings his four disparate offspring together for the disclosure of his will, which unearths deeply buried secrets. There is a riddle to solve and sibling rivalry rises to spectacularly dizzy heights. This comedy is sharp, haunting and furious.”

‘Mercy’ and ‘Cracked’ will be performed at Nice One, The Old Clubhouse, on July 21 and 22. Direct bookings can be made via www.nicevenues.co.uk or by calling 07967 294462.
