NEVILLE Duckworth, the Artistic Director of Hayfield Concert Society, is putting on a Classical and Jazz Concert at St Matthew's Church, Hayfield to mark his 70th birthday.
The proceeds from the concert on Friday June 26, at 7.30pm, will go to the Church Building Fund.

Clarinetist Neville will be joined by international soprano Diana Palmerston and accompanist David Jones in the first half, to include The Shepherd on the Rock, Schubert's best known song.

Diana will perform a selection of English songs and a lovely aria from La Rondine by Puccini.

In the second half, the Paul Blissett Trio will join Neville in a selection of jazz classics featuring Pete Wilmott on bass and Paul Turner at the drums, both from the BBC Philharmonic.

Tickets are available at the usual outlets or on the door on the night, priced £8/£6 (under 18's admitted free).
