The UK's favourite caravan and motorhome show, International Caravan & Motorhome 2008, is pitching up at the NEC Birmingham between 14-19 October showcasing everything to make a good British holiday, great.
With belts tightening across the UK, more people are choosing to spend their summer holiday closer to home, with many opting to enjoy the freedom and flexibility of caravanning.
According to the Camping and Caravanning Club, one in eight Brits are choosing to holiday in the UK this year, while research from The Caravan Club has shown a 10 per cent rise in pitch bookings since 2007.
Vehicle manufacturers are reporting a similar increase in sales enquiries and caravanning's leading share of the 'paid for' UK holiday market is expected to grow from the current 19 per cent this year.
However, a great British holiday is not just about choosing somewhere to stay or what to do when you get there, it is the whole package – vehicles, accessories and sites. For the third year running, the International Caravan & Motorhome will offer all the answers and help show visitors how to make the very best of Britain.
With over 300 exhibitors showing off the latest models for 2009, and an entire hall dedicated to the latest accessories, there will be no better place to start planning for the holiday season ahead, and learn how to make a caravan or motorcaravan a home from home.
Considered by many manufacturers to be the perfect launch pad for all the 2009 launches, ahead of the new season, there is no better place to see brand new models, pick up a cracking deal, or simply feel inspired by the latest industry developments.
International Caravan & Motorhome 2008 is strongly interactive, ensuring every visitor has the chance to touch and feel the exhibits, and get inspired to hit the road. A host of show features are in place to help see that they do so safely, including The Caravan Club's free motorhome manoeuvring sessions and the Reich Caravan Mover challenge.
There are also plenty of chances to win big prizes – including a complete car and caravan package.
Advance tickets are available priced at £12 for adults and £10 for seniors. Tickets can be bought on the door at a cost of £14 adults and £12 seniors. Children under 16 are free.
