ANTIQUES Roadshow's Eric Knowles will be appearing at Buxton Opera House on Sunday June 22 at 7.30pm, when he promises to give an unmissable talk about his extraordinary career in the world of antiques.
There will also be an opportunity for audience members to have their own antiques appraised at a pre-show evaluation.

Eric Knowles is one of those rare individuals who is able to share his extensive knowledge of the world of antiques in a manner that is easily understood.

With over 20 years working on the BBC's flagship programme Antiques Roadshow under his belt, Eric has become the friendly face of what for many years proved to be a business shrouded with no small element of mystery.

During the evening Eric, the lad from Lancashire, takes the wraps off a business in which he has been immersed for over 30 years.

The first part of the evening is given over to what is quite often irreverent anecdotal reminiscences, ably supported by excellent images.

The second part of the evening is devoted to the audience's 'treasures', 25 of which will be selected by Eric during the initial meet-and-greet session before the show.

* If you would like an item valued as part of the pre-show session which takes place at 6.30pm, please contact the Opera House on 01298 72050 to register your interest.
