KNOWN as 'The Led Zeppelin of the folk world', Blazin' Fiddles take to the Buxton Opera House stage tomorrow (Friday).
What began as a project for the Highland Festival ten years ago has grown into one of Scotland’s top traditional bands?

From remote village halls to the BBC Proms at the Albert Hall, Blazin’ Fiddles have delighted audiences with their highlands and islands tunes and tales.

Blazin’ Fiddles is made up of seven fiddlers who are all prodigiously talented in their own right and are involved in numerous solo projects ranging from theatre to dance to straight forward music performance.

Audiences are captivated by the pieces which feature the different regional style of each fiddler combining to provide a wonderful explosion of music.

First-timers can expect to listen to fiddles and bows blazing away accompanied with guitar and piano making a robust blend of music that is a delight to any palate.

Tickets for the performance, which starts at 8pm, are priced £12 and £14, with discounts available.

For further details and bookings, call the Box Office on 0845 127 2190 or visit www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
