September 19: Who Do I Think I Am? Family History Talk by Sir Martin Doughty at St James' Church and Arts Centre, Spring Bank, at 7.30pm. Tickets £2.
September 26: Concert of organ music by Gordon Stewart at Providence United Reformed Church, Mellor Road, at 7.30pm. Tickets £4.50.

September 27: Lantern Procession through the Torrs at 7.30pm, followed by a firework display at Newtown Recreation Ground at 8.40pm.

September 28: Last night of the Proms: at the Art Theatre, Jodrell Street, New Mills, at 7.30pm. Evening's concert with High Peak Orchestra. Tickets £7.
