THREE of the most respected country singer-songwriters of today, Suzy Boggus, Matraca Berg and Gretchen Peters are set to band together for a night of Wine Women & Song at Buxton Opera House, on Friday May 29, at 7.30pm.
Suzy Bogguss achieved huge chart success in the 1980s and 90s, releasing one Platinum and three Gold albums and six top ten singles (including Letting Go and Just Like The Weather), winning the Academy of Country Music's award for Top New Female Vocalist and the Country Music Association's Horizon Award.

Gretchen Peters' intelligent and introspective songs have been covered by pop, country, blues and folk artists all over the world including Faith Hill, Bonnie Raitt, Martina McBride, Etta James, The Neville Brothers, Trisha Yearwood and Bryan Adams. Her own albums, The Secret of Life and Gretchen Peters are already considered two of contemporary music's top critical picks.

Matraca Berg's songs have been recorded by artists as diverse as Reba McEntire, Randy Travis, Tanya Tucker and Marie Osmond and she received critical acclaim with albums such as Lying To The Moon and Bittersweet Surrender as well as singles including I Got It Bad.

The performance begins at 7.30pm. Tickets for Wine Women & Song will be priced at £18 and £20 and discounts are available.
