MEMBERS OF Buxton Rotary Club raised money for a High Peak charity.
The club held its annual 4-am golf competition at Cavendish Golf Club earlier this month and raised £2,000 for Blythe House.

Sponsored by Chris Smith of Buxton Car Centre, Prize-winners in the Stableford Competition (two best scores) were: (1) John Williams, Dave Buckle, Alan Thearle and Phil Kinder (winning team, 87 points, c.p.o.); (2) Graham Bisland, Craig Murphy, Andy Marcarett and John Bayliss (87 points); (3) Eddie Wright, Paul Hodgson, Tony Davis and Jeff Place (86 points, c.p.o.); (4) Doug Thompson, Derek Lambert, Russ Hayes and Dan Blackwell (86 points); nearest the 4th pin: Kath Kirwan (who also won this last year); nearest the 15th pin: Phil Kinder; and nearest the 6th pin in 2 shots: Peter Lowe.

Fundraising was boosted by an 'everyone gets a prize' Tombola run by the Inner Wheel Club of Buxton, a raffle and novelty competitions.
