A FORMER Club Captain, who marshalled during the US Open at Torrey Pines, has won this year's Captain's Prize at Buxton and High Peak Golf Club.
Paul Longden, shot a terrific score of 68-07-61 to beat Philip Benson, by three shots on a course in immaculate playing condition.

Competitors enjoyed the hospitality of Captain, Phil Norton, who welcomed members into his marquee by the 10th tee, for refreshments during their round.

At the evening prize presentation and disco, Mr Norton presented a special award to Declan O'Dywer, in recognition of achieving an outstanding new course record score of 64, obtained during a club competition the previous week.

Mr Norton also presented junior members: Mark Brookes, Jack Gregory, Oliver Wadsworth, Charlie Vize and Elliot Meylan, with prizes and thanked members and guests who had participated and made his day memorable.
