CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH Golf Club Senior's Section held their Mixed Open on May 14.
The format for the day was a 4BBB competition and 152 players from 31 clubs took part.

Although the day was overcast, very cold and breezy, which made the course difficult to play, the players were not deterred and the majority commented on how much they had enjoyed the day.

Club Captain John Pope and the Senior's Chairman, Ray Beech, presented the prizes to the winners who were: 1st, Ann Ward and Doug Wakefield, of Chapel-en-le-Frith Golf Club; 2nd, Linda Atherton and Keith Atherton, from the Tytherington Golf Club; 3rd, Jean Fellows and Paul Rocco, from Manchester Golf Club; 4th, S. Bury and J. Sharp, also from the Tytherington Golf Club.

n A score of 67.2 from M Hadfield and R Smith sealed the Tom Heyes Greensome Medal.

The competition was played at Chapel-en-le-Frith Golf Club on Sunday May 10.

Runner-up was S J Cox and M Hague with 67.8, and third was D Jones and S Knight with 68.2.
