Club championship held at the Cavendish

AT CAVENDISH Golf Club the club championship was held and the Scratch Cup and the Devonshire Trophy took place on the first week of June.
Winner of the Scratch Cup was ian Mathers with 70:73-143. Runner up was last year's winner Richard Holmes 71:73-144 and third was Kevin Bloor 71:76-147.

Calum Burgess took the Devonshire Trophy with a brilliant 73:10 -63, second, third and fourth
were card play offs, Arnie Bennett 73:8-65, Jonathan Taylor 73:8-65 and Matt Loynes 78:13-65.

Best gross was Ian Mathers 70 and best full handicap was John May 89:22-67.

There were two monthly medals with results as follows.
Division One
1 Jeff Wheeler 73:8 -65, 2 N Bolton 75:8 -67, 3rd J Haddon 74-6-68
Division Two
1st Gary Mather 73-11-62, 2 J Johnson 78-12-66, 3rd G Fielden 79-13-66.
Division Three
1st Phil Hogan 96:25-71 2 D A Crawford 89-18-71, 3 D Lynch 91-19-72

June 8
Division One
Paul Heathcote 79-15-64 ,2 C Peacock 80-15-65, 3 W Barlow 79-12-67
Division Three
Tim Walton 88-23-65, 2 D Jones 87-20 -67, 3rd RW Norton 87-19-68.

On a tough day when standard scratch was increased by two shots, Malcolm Forder shot a superb 71:55-66 to win the Cavendish Cup.

In second place after CPO was dave Wilcox 85:18-67 from Bob Turner 81:14-67.
Fourth place went to malcolm's brother Robert with 81-12-69. Best full handicap was Andrew Lisser 89-23-66.
