TWO REPRESENTATIVES of Disley Explorer Group were among the invited guests attending an event hosted by Macclesfield Mayor Barry Burkhill.
Peter and Heather Rowe joined representatives from dozens of local organisations at the Mayor at Home event last week, which took place at Poynton Civic Centre.
During the annual roadshow, which visits four venues across the borough, Cllr Burkhill praised the community activists for their unstinting work.
* At a ceremony next month, Cllr Thelma Jackson will be sworn in as the last Mayor of Macclesfield, before the introduction of East Cheshire Council in 2009.
