Warning to bikers

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to the theft of two motorcycles and other property from a barn on Bings Road, Whaley Bridge.

The offence happened between 9pm on Friday January 27 and 9.10am on Saturday January 28 when burglars forced their way through a gate into a field. They drove a vehicle into the field before breaking into the barn and stealing property.

Amongst items stolen were a Diamond Back Vertigo ladies mountain bike, a roll cage Go-Kart, a rare Honda 185XL made in 1979, a Gas Gas 200 TXT trials bike and garden and power tools.

Anyone with information should contact the police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
