A business in New Mills has given its backing to a new First Aid Unit for the area.

The committee which looks after the recently purchased New Mills and District First Aid Unit were delighted to receive a donation of over £500 from AG Parfitt and Sons Ltd – who own the Local 4U shop on Albion Road in New Mills.

They would particularly like to thank the Manager Stan Lugsden and all the staff at the shop for nominating the First Aid Unit to be their local charity during the past year.

The money will be used for new equipment and maintenance of the First Aid Unit which will be seen at many public events over the coming months.
