Poppy appeal

Derbyshire’s Poppy Appeal total has again broken records with £666,273 raised so far.

With eight months until the end of the 2011 Appeal, The Royal British Legion have their fingers crossed that it may reach £700,000.

Colin Picken, County Co-ordinator said: “Considering how hard things are financially for many people, it is heart-warming to see the support that is continually given to our current and former members of the Armed Forces.”
