Kinder Mountain Rescue Team

Kinder Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) has been given a vital boost from Furness Vale Bowling Club. The bowling club recently raised £285 for the vital volunteer service at their recent charity day.

Kinder MRT is part of the Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation, and is a self-funding registered charity. They provide search and mountain rescue services, and all team members are volunteers and on call 24/7, 365 days of the year.

The team rescues hikers, climbers, fell runners, mountain bikers and the occasional sheep from the wild and high places of the Western Peak District, as well as urban searches to assist police in looking for missing people

The team is organising its third Charity Fundraising Ball for September 2013 at Shrigley Hall. To learn more about Kinder MRT or to make a donation, visit www.kmrt.org.uk or contact Fundraising Officer Sally Barnett on 07742 811938.
