Changes to theory test

Derby and Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership has welcomed the removal of pre-published questions from the driving theory test.

Until now the test Q&As have been available in the official theory test guide but the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) has decided to stop publishing them.

A new set of questions have been introduced into the test this month and they will not feature in future editions of the guide.

Partnership chairman Mike Ashworth said: “This move by the DSA should encourage candidates to learn each topic area thoroughly because they will no longer be able to simply memorise questions and answers.”

The DSA’s latest theory test guide includes a new section featuring case studies that learners can use to apply their knowledge to real-life driving situations.
