Daniel Brooks, 22, has gained a first class BA(hons) in German and Japanese with a distinction in spoken German and spoken Japanese from the UniversityofLeeds. While at university, he was awarded the Richard Byrn Prize for Academic Excellence in German and was president of the Japanese Society. The grandson of Tony and Pat Thorp of 21 Amber Crescent, Chesterfield, he is a former pupil of St Mary’s RC High School,Chesterfield. Daniel is studying a PGCE in German with Japanese at the University of Sheffield.
