Wet weather failed to put a dampener on last weekend's Chapel-en-le-Frith Carnival.
The streets of the 'Capital of the Peak' were lined with crowds who turned out to watch the colourful procession as it wound its way through the town.
And despite the downpours, Caroline Gregory, Chairperson of Chapel's Carnival Committee, said: "There was a very good turnout, and a lot of the feedback we have received suggests this has been the best for many years."
As well as marching in the procession, a return to tradition saw participating bands perform in the Memorial Park.
"I believe they were fantastic in the parade, and it was just a shame that the grass was wet in the park for people to sit down and watch them perform," added Caroline.
Sunday's events included a car boot sale, pet show and a Tug of War, which was won by the Kings Arms team 'Too Old to Pull'.
