Murder most foul at Chapel

A batty author, a frantic director, a struggling stage crew and a dysfunctional cast of actors are the ingredients that maskes up a feast of a farce in the Rick Abbott comedy "Play On!" – Chapel-en-le-Frith Players' forthcoming production.
The plot centres on first-time playwright Phyllis whose terrifying mystery "Murder Most Foul" is being relied on to revive the fortunes of a failing theatre company.
This hope becomes hilariously more and more distant as the play progresses from terrible rehearsal to a desperate dress rehearsal and leads up to a riotous opening night.
Fudged lines, botched sound effects and rivalry among the cast add up to a great night out.
Performances at the Playhouse on Eccles Road are Fridays and Saturdays October 3 and 4, and 10 and 11. Doors open at 7pm and tickets cost £7.50 or £5 for concessions. They are available from Halls Mica Hardware and The Royal Oak, or on the door. There are two short episodes of strobe lighting in the final act.
The play is produced and directed by John Gilberthorpe and Marie Mason.
The cast are Sheila Rowley, Nichola Hallows, Ian Leach, Debbie Barnes, Faye Rowe, Dan Mason, Kelly Nadin, Andrew Hearfield-Hodgson, Ros Ellis and Marie Mason.
